12 Days of Christmas 2012 #08 – A Shout-out to Myst and The Aniblog Tourney 2012

If you have read the Sword Art Online posts you may have noticed there being someone called Myst writing together with me. He is the writer of the anime blog Through the Frozen Glass and a great guy you should totally follow. I mean, just the thing that he lowers himself to blog Sword Art Online together with me says something about how nice he is!

I stumbled upon his blog back in May or so when it was only called Frozen Anime Blog and fell for it directly. It is hard to pinpoint exactly what makes me love reading his blog, but there is something about his writing style that grabs my attention. For the lack of better words: it has a certain flow to it. Besides this flow, the writing is also honest and to the point regarding his feelings of an anime episode. I really resonate well with this person.

I want to say thank you for doing blog posts together and being so much fun to read!

Good luck with your final exams, dude!

I wanted to include this somehow.

On a completely different note, I fondly remember The Aniblog Tourney 2012 from earlier this year. It was a lot of fun to compete with other blogs and I managed to win two matches before I finally lost in the third round! At the time my blog was only about six months old, so it did rather well for being so new.

Not only did I discover new blogs, but I want to believe I also gained a few new readers at the same time. Sadly, there does not seem it will be a new tourney in the future due to it taking so much time to organize and only leading to the inevitable cheating. Maybe it will come back in a new form in the future, but I am just happy to have been able to at least participate in it once.

Competing is fun, you know?

    Aww, thanks man. 🙂

I’m having a lot of fun blogging SAO with you so it is definitely mutual. And we’ve still got two more episodes, so let’s make the best of it! ^ ^

The aniblog tourney was a fun experience, but it may be for the best that it doesn’t happen all that often, considering some of the drama that happened during it. I still got a lot out of it, I think.

Drama will always happen. Besides, it only really shows people’s true personality~
You could make it work differently, such as showcasing blogs or something maybe?

It was a fun experience, as you said.

  3. Kai says:

Last I heard, aren’t the aniblog tourneys taking place once every 2 years? Next one should be at 2014, if my “news” aren’t outdated.
