Spring 2013 Anime Early Impressions – Surprises Everywhere

It took me a while to decide, but I have now settled down with the anime I will watch this season. After previously having watched a whopping 20 series at the same time, with most of them turning out to be average at best, it feels nice to end up with a handful of series that instead are superb. This may change over time, naturally, but right now the spring 2013 anime season has been full of surprises!

Who thought a Devil King working at a fast-food chain would end up hilarious? Or what about Attack on Titan managing to live up to its expectations? And let us not forget the massive hatred towards the anime adaptation of Aku no Hana!

A Closer Look – Eureka Seven AO Opening 2

Eureka Seven AO may not have been the sequel I had anticipated, wasting ten episodes at absolutely nothing and now becoming the mind screw of the year with absolutely no signs of redemption, but one thing it has managed is to produce a new and shiny kickass opening worthy the name Eureka Seven.

Called “BravBlue” and performed by FLOW, the same band which did the original Eureka Seven’s first opening, “Days”, one could probably figure that there would be some similarities between the two openings. Not too surprisingly, this turned out to be the case. In addition, the new opening is also chock-full of information regarding AO’s future plot. But that is not all! It also pays homage to the original series on a few instances.
