Those Final Steps – 10 Years of Anime Blogging

Here I am, finally taking my final steps in the blogosphere on Anime Viking. And I have been okay with it for a long time, no longer trembling as I did when I first set out on my journey a decade ago.

10 years?

Yes, it’s been that long.

Unlike beginnings, I have a tendency to find it far easier to write about the endings. I can still feel incredibly tense when writing the very first words, whereas near the end I often know exactly what I want to write down. But enough of that! In case you didn’t catch on – and I don’t blame you, after all this blog has not been regularly active in a long time – I was mirroring my very first post just now. It’s hard to pass up the chance!

12 Days of Christmas 2013 #02 – Kiniro Mosaic and Language Barriers

The first episode of Kiniro Mosaic is out of this world when it comes to cuteness overload. Here we follow a young Japanese girl named Shinobu who, one day, decides to do a homestay in England. There, she meets the young and shy Alice.

The two children do not understand each other, however. After all, one is speaking Japanese and the other English. Despite this, they manage to break the language barrier and become friends for life.

Two Years of Anime Blogging and Having Fun

Today marks the day when Anime Viking has become two years old. Two years! It is hard to believe I was in my final year of high school when I started this blog. Certainly it does not feel like such a long time has passed.

Have you visited Crunchyroll these last few months and perhaps stumbled upon a news article that seemed awfully familiar? With three posts from Anime Viking now featured on Crunchyroll, I figured it was time to write a short notice about it.

So, long story short: Anime Viking is now (sort of) on Crunchyroll!

Will You Still Watch and Enjoy Anime as You Grow Older?

The question has almost certainly struck your mind at least once no matter what sort of hobby we are talking about: ”Will I still like this as I grow older?”. It is not a particularly weird question to ask oneself, I for one have asked it over a million of times, but it still hurts a little on the inside when thinking about it.

I mean, is it not a bit sad to stop with something you once put all your heart into?

100,000 Blog Views and an Apology

It has been a while, has it not? It has been roughly one month since I last posted here on Anime Viking and I apologize for that. I will talk more about this after the jump.

To share a little more happy news, I can gladly tell that Anime Viking has reached over 100,000 blog views as of 27th May 2013! This feels like a small, but nice, milestone and shows how long this blog has ventured since it first started. Time sure flies, does it not?

Happy 2013 and A Little Notice

First of all, I want to wish you a Happy New Year! Let us hope 2013 will be a good year.

During last month, Dec 2012, I published a lot of posts and I now feel really exhausted. I have never written so much before! I cannot believe some bloggers can keep up this high pace without sacrificing all of their free time (then again, I am a slow writer).

Therefore I will take a little break and be back around Jan 15th and then continue as usual with a new post about every seven to ten days. There might be some other things happening too, but nothing I can guarantee.

There will, however, come a final post on Sword Art Online by Myst and I in the coming days!
