Winter 2013 Anime Mini Reviews – A Season Full of Meh and GJ-bu

I will be trying out a new and shorter format for my future seasonal posts, so it would be nice if you could tell if you like it or not. The reason for this is that I do not want to spend hours writing them. Because even if I love doing these posts, the time it takes to write them could be spent on more fun things such as editorials!

As for the season itself, it turned out rather bad. Well, to be perfectly honest, it is to be expected when one watches over 20 series! There were a few good ones, but ironically they were the ones I did not have much expectations of in the first place!

Winter 2013 Anime Impressions – I Watch Too Much Anime

No more anime, please.

As a way to get into the groove of blogging we will now take a look at the winter anime season.

I find it funny that I in the preview post said I would not end up watching a lot and instead spend my time plowing through my anime backlog. By now I should know that I will never be able to not pick up one or two more series than initially planned, but considering how calm this season has been… it baffles me that I picked up so much. Very surprising indeed.

Do you readers also usually end up watching more than planned?

I have always found learning new things a lot of fun, especially if it is stuff I have wanted to learn for a long time. Japanese was one such thing I had longed for and this fall I finally got the chance to start studying it.

12 Days of Christmas 2012 #12 – When Natsume Yuujinchou Said Farewell

When I first came in contact with Natsume Yuujinchou on a whim I instantly fell in love with it and today I hold it as one of my favorite anime. Many have called it a “Mushishi-lite” (another episodic series about mystical beings), but doing so would be completely missing what makes Natsume Yuujinchou so very good:

It is heartwarming.

Christmas Calendar 2011 – Toradora 04 (End) – Toradorable

After a month of no new post at all, it is finally time to bring this year’s “Christmas Calendar” to an end. It has been a bit of a bumpy ride, with not a lot of posts (due to “12 Days”) and my own lack of imagination for topics. While this year might have been slightly lackluster, it has been a good experience and I now know how to improve it till next year. I hope you have all enjoyed it!

But what is that you say? Christmas is already over? No worries, because Twelfth Night is tomorrow!

Winter 2012 Previews

Now that the ”12 Days”-project is over, it is time to get serious again. Or, at least, a little serious. Christmas time is relax time for me, a chance to recover slightly from the dreaded school. However, this time, we were loaded with different essays, so in the following week there will not be any lengthy and insightful editorial post for you to read. I am deeply sorry about that, but hey, on the 9^th of January there will be a fun little thing starting. And after that, it is back to business as usual! In the meantime, let us check out what the winter season 2012 has in store for us!

With Ami joining the main cast, the relationships between everyone is slowly starting to change. While she is not the catalyst, there were already a lot of hints as I mentioned in my first post, she helps to stir things up and make them progress much faster than without her. Soon there will be Christmas. Aw, who does not love this time of the year? Everything is filled with happiness and you just want to cuddle up inside with a cup of hot chocolate. It is without a doubt my favourite time of the year. This year will be different, as I am now a blogger. This means that in the coming month, there will only be Christmas-related topics.
