Your Blog Sucks – Criticism in the Aniblogosphere

Did he just say…?

This post has taken way too long to get out. I am honestly sorry for that. Luckily, it is out now!

During this month I have sent out a lot of emails to people, asking them to answer a question for a survey regarding criticism in the anime (and manga) blogosphere. Now, I have gathered every reply and put them into this post. See the results after the jump! Continue reading

The Harem of Mine Was Actually an Interrogation Game

Tagged by four persons, I’m boss

There has been a severe lack of actual anime blog posts lately here on Anime Viking. That cannot be good. There are so many things happening at once in the anime blogosphere and the currently airing anime season that you have no idea what to do first. And if you are a weekly blogger, the charm of novelty will be gone if you delay certain posts too long. My post schedule will probably be irregular in the coming weeks, just so you know!

In any case.

A lot of people have been all cute and cuddly to me lately, mentioning me in their posts. At first it seemed like my fabulousness finally had reached out to other bloggers! But no, of course that was not the truth. I have too much personality to have my own personal harem. Instead it was an “Interrogation Game” in which bloggers asks each other questions. Madness I say. A Closer Look – Eureka Seven AO Opening 2

Eureka Seven AO may not have been the sequel I had anticipated, wasting ten episodes at absolutely nothing and now becoming the mind screw of the year with absolutely no signs of redemption, but one thing it has managed is to produce a new and shiny kickass opening worthy the name Eureka Seven.

Called “BravBlue” and performed by FLOW, the same band which did the original Eureka Seven’s first opening, “Days”, one could probably figure that there would be some similarities between the two openings. Not too surprisingly, this turned out to be the case. In addition, the new opening is also chock-full of information regarding AO’s future plot. But that is not all! It also pays homage to the original series on a few instances.

This post contains thoughts regarding Eureka Seven AO’s second opening and points out the homages to the original series. In other words, unless you have watched the original Eureka Seven, the movie and up to episode 14 of AO, stay away from this post. Continue reading

Aniblog Tourney 2012 – Round 3 – vs. Veterans (Now With 100% More Drawings)

Anime Viking vs. The World.

Woah woah woah, I actually made it to the third round in the Aniblog Tourney. That is, what I would call, quite a feat. A rather big feat too, to be frank, considering that I am new in the anime blogosphere, only reaching six months around  last month. It is hard to say if it was thanks to my posts or popularity, but whatever the case, it is now time for the serious business. Continue reading

Aniblog Tourney 2012 – Round 1 – vs. Clan Rain (Now With 100% More Singing)

Anime Viking.

It is time for my first match in the Aniblog Tourney 2012, a tourney which I am sure you have heard about by now. If not, just check out this post!

When it comes to this tourney, a lot of people humbly proclaim that they do not have any chance of winning or that they are not interested in it at all. While I can understand this way of thinking, it does not mean I fully agree with it. Even if you believe you will not win, you should still do your best! Fight for it! Ganbatte! In other words, this means I will fight till the bitter end. Will I have fun while doing so? Dang fun if you ask me. I am sure everyone who participates in the tourney also enjoys it. Some might just not want to come off as too serious, as they believe they lose respect or something like that. Do not ask me, ask them! Continue reading

Christmas Calendar 2011 – Toradora 02 – Stuff

When you really love something, you could talk about it for an eternity. So when watching from episode three to eight, I struggled with exactly what I would talk about in my next post. Then I came up with an excuse idea I had never thought of before. Why not just talk about it all, but really short and compromised? Well, here we are now. I will do a proper post in a few days about episode seven and eight, so you do not think I am completely lazy! Oh well, onto the big mass of pictures now, shall we? Continue reading
